For the first two years, I was a Field Engineer and eventually the Lead Field Engineer. I then became the estimator and primary support contact for technicians in the field.
I have done extensive, national-reaching installations of Information Technology related Hardware including Computers, Point of Sales Registers, Network Servers, Security Cameras, Access Controllers, Direct Video Recorders, Network Switches, Digital Media Displays, Cellular Fail-over Devices, Network Routers, Network Firewalls, and Standard/VoIP Phone Systems. Additional Installation of Networking Cables ranging from Cat5e to Cat 7 cable, RG-59 and RG6 Coaxial Cable, and Telephone Lines. Installation of Software for Network Switches, Point of Sales, Computers, and Servers.
For most jobs, ranging from one day to three weeks in length, I have driven upwards of 20 hours to get to a job-site to complete work there, longer drives were in rarer instances, much of my driving was to the Cleveland-Pittsburgh-Columbus area. For the first 2 years, I was actively working 10 to 20 hours of overtime each pay period(bi-weekly).
